Spring Clean Up is Back for 2014

Program Returns for This Year

The City of St. Charles is conducting its Spring Clean Up program this year, which allows residents to place unwanted items at the curb for pick up. Spring Clean Up items will be collected on May 3 for residents east of the river and May 17 for west side residents. This service is for residents within the city limits of St. Charles only.

Submit Your Creative “Tribute to Trees” Entry by April 4

Mark your calendars for the annual Arbor Day event Friday, April 25 in Lincoln Park on Main Street, west of Route 31. All ages are welcome to this annual celebration of trees. There’s something for everyone – music, art, a tree raffle, tree care demonstrations, and educational material for homeowners. The fun begins at 4:00 p.m.

City Adopts New Alcohol Tax Penalty for Late Filing

Effective immediately, an amendment to Title 3, “Revenue and Finance”, Chapter 3.42 “Alcohol Tax”, Section 3.42.090 “Late Payment and or/Filing; Failure to Pay and /or File”, was approved by City Council on Monday, March 17, 2014.
