Annual Open House - The St. Charles Fire Department will be hosting an open house to kick off Fire Prevention Week 2005 on Sunday, October 16, from 11 to 3 at Fire Station 1, 105 N. 1st Ave. Activities will include live demonstrations on dive, vertical rescue, fire extinguishers, children’s safety house, fire and sprinklers, auto extrication, and a kid's challenge obstacle course. CPR Certification Classes - CPR classes are held the second Thursday of each month (excluding January and December) at Fire Station # 2 located at 2900 Production Drive (one block west of Kirk Road). Seats are limited, so please call (630) 377-4457 to make a reservation. Classes may be cancelled until the next date if there are not enough people registered. Call for more information.
