Maps can be obtained through multiple avenues; however requests from the public should be made through the Freedom of Information Act – Request for Public Records found at http://www.stcharlesil.gov/forms/foia.html

Will you make custom maps?

No, maps need to be in a readily accessible format, please contact the GIS Manager to determine if the map you are seeking is available.

What format will the map be delivered in?

Traditionally, maps are printed and mailed or available for pickup. To help reduce costs to the City and the public, we can created secured PDF and email it.

Can I make copies of the map and redistribute it?

No, maps copyrighted with all rights reserved to the City of St Charles. To obtain permission to use the map please make a written request to the GIS Manager 2 E. Main St St. Charles, Illinois 60174

Do you provide the GIS data?

No, the majority of the data we use is through licensed agreements with other government bodies and private organizations. The data developed in-house are typically containing private information not accessible by FOIA regulations.
