Electronics Waste/Recycling Collection
The Kane County Recycling Coordinator has scheduled regular collections of electronics and books at the Kane County Circuit Clerk’s building, 540 S. Randall Road, 8 a.m. to 12 noon, on the second Saturday of each month. Items accepted include computers and peripherals (25 piece limit), office equipment (telephones, answering machines, cell phones, pagers, calculators, shredders, postage machines, copiers), entertainment equipment (televisions, VCRs, camcorders, stereo equipment, cameras, game players, joysticks) and electronic media (floppy disks, CDs and cases, videotapes). Audio tapes and speakers will not be accepted. Both hardbound and paperback books will also be collected and recycled. Please do not bring manuals, packing material, air conditioners, appliances, or household hazardous waste to this collection. All items should be taken out of their packaging and any papers removed and recycled prior to dropping it off.
