Yard Waste Collection
Yard waste is collected from March 1 through December 31. It cannot be
mixed with normal waste for collection or placed in plastic bags. Yardwaste
consists of twigs, trimmings, leaves, etc. and should be placed in a brown
paper yardwaste bag with the City logo on the side. Generic yardwaste
bags can also be used but must have an orange waste sticker affixed to
the bag in order for our waste hauler to pick them up. Yardwaste will
be picked up on your normal garbage day. The following items are considered
one disposal unit and require either a prepaid Kraft paper yard waste
bag or a prepaid disposal sticker:
- Kraft paper bag (prepaid or generic) limited to 50 pounds of yard waste.
- Bundles of brush or branches, tied with twine and with a refuse sticker affixed, no longer than 3 feet in length or weighing over 50 pounds. Branches cannot exceed 3 inches in diameter.
- Holiday trees.
