Streets, Sidewalks & Street Signs < City of St. Charles, IL

The Streets service area is responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of City streets and off-street parking lots. In addition, the Streets service area provides the following services:

Snow removal operations
Street sweeping
Street striping and signage
Concrete curb and sidewalk improvements
Trimming and removing trees from the City parkways
Annual share-the-cost parkway tree planting reforestation

The Streets service area is part of the Public Services Division of the Public Works Department. This service area is headed by Ben Deutsch & Dan Rowe, Street Foremen. Ben Deutsch is also the City's certified Arborist and has been responsible for administering the City's tree preservation program and maintaining the City's designation as a Tree City USA. Dan Rowe is responsible for concrete curb, sidewalk improvements and blacktop.
