Streets, Sidewalks & Street Signs < City of St. Charles, IL

The Streets service area is responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of City streets and off-street parking lots. In addition, the Streets service area provides the following services:

Snow removal operations
Street sweeping
Street striping and signage
Concrete curb and sidewalk improvements
Trimming and removing trees from the City parkways
Annual share-the-cost parkway tree planting reforestation

The Streets service area is part of the Public Services Division of the Public Works Department. This service area is headed by Ben Deutsch, Street Foremen. Ben Deutsch is also the City's certified Arborist and has been responsible for administering the City's tree preservation program and maintaining the City's designation as a Tree City USA.
