In 2008, the Westside Water Reclamation Facility was named the Illinois Wastewater Plant of the Year by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
“Receiving this award is a reflection of the performance and commitment of all of our IEPA certified wastewater operators,” said John Lamb, Environmental Services Manager for the City. “This award helps to recognize our consistent efforts to protect the Fox River Valley watershed and the ecology in the surrounding areas.”
