City Biosolids Program

Biosolids are a waste by-product of the wastewater treatment process. The material has a high nutrient value and is applied to farmland as a fertilizer. The biosolids have to meet strict limitations set by the IEPA and USEPA. This material would otherwise be disposed of in a landfill and at a higher cost.
