The work completed for the week ending May 16, 2015 included installation of the watermain on the Q Center property and the watermain pipe along the east side of 5th Ave, from in front of 1560 5th Ave, South to the north edge of the cemetery. The watermain roadway crossing south of the Q Center was also completed with plates to be removed and temporary pavement patching for the crossing to occur next week.
The scheduled work for the week ending May 23, 2015 will include installation for the necessary bends, fire hydrants and valve vaults in the area of completed watermain on IL Route 25. The contractor will also begin the installation of watermain on Allen Lane. The contractor will provide notifications to those residents on Allen Lane who may have restricted access to their driveways during this work 48 hours in advance.
All work schedules are weather dependent. Daily lane closures should be expected on IL Route 25 for the above work this week.
