Leaf Collection
The Leaf Pick Up schedule for the season is included as an insert in this publication. As an alternative, residents may pack leaves in yardwaste bags, which will be collected on normal refuse collection days through December 31. Please remember to rake leaves on the parkway, NOT into the street. Piling leaves in the street is a violation of city code, with violators subject to fines up to $500. Leaves left in the street can also clog storm drains, cause localized flooding, and make the roadway slippery for cars, bikes, and pedestrians. For more details on the leaf collection program check the City’s website, www.stcharlesil.gov/services/leaf. Call the Public Works office at 630-377-4405 with questions or for assistance determining your collection area.
