Reminder: There is a 24-hour time limit to park on any street in the City of St. Charles. This parking time limit was initiated to support the premise that City streets are for the movement of vehicles, not the storage of vehicles. If a vehicle is to be parked over 24 hours, it must be parked on the owner’s property.

Remember to Follow Parking Restrictions on City Streets
Just a reminder that when you park on most city streets, you will need to move your vehicle at least once every 24 hours. (See Ordinance 2004-M-17, also Municipal Code 10.40.010.D.) Some streets may have their own restrictions regarding days of the week, times of the day, etc., please be careful to adhere to these restrictions as well. Parking Tickets
Where/how do I pay a parking ticket?
There are many ways you may pay parking tickets.
- The ticket is self-addressed and may be mailed to the City of St. Charles.
- You may drop the ticket in the City Utility Drop Box located in the parking lot between the Fire Department and the Police Department.
- You may pay the ticket in person at the Utility Billing office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
What are the City's restrictions on parking when it snows?
General Information
The snow parking restrictions are in effect from November 1 through April 30 and are detailed in Section 10.40.060 of the St. Charles Municipal Code. Snow routes are marked with blue signs. How do I dispute a parking ticket?

If you believe that a parking ticket was issued improperly, the first step is to contact the Police Department and ask for the Traffic Unit Supervisor.
