Some Closed Roads are Reopened as Water Recedes in Some Areas
The City of St. Charles emergency and public works crews continue to respond to the extreme amounts of rain that fell over the last 24 hours. With rainfall diminishing, and waters now receding in some areas, monitoring the future cresting of the Fox River becomes key.

Roadway Condition Analysis to Be Conducted
Beginning the week of October 29th, IMS Infrastructure Management Services (IMS) will begin a comprehensive street evaluation for the City of St. Charles that will be used to develop a pavement management program. All 140 miles of city streets will be evaluated and will include analysis of the existing pavement surface condition and deflection testing. The fieldwork is investigative in nature and is non-destructive. The work is expected to take two (2) weeks to complete. Read more »
