Billing Procedures
You will not be sent a utility bill until at least 15 days from the
beginning date of service. Meters will then be read on approximately
a 30-day cycle, and customers will receive a bill each month shortly
after the meter reading date. If the meter department cannot reach
a meter to take an actual reading, a postage-paid reading card will
be left for the customer to fill out and return immediately. If the
card is not received by the Utility Billing and Collections Office
before bills are printed, the reading will be estimated.
If you believe the City of St. Charles has made an error on your utility bill, you may call an accounts representative
at (630) 377-4426, Mondays 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
