Update 5/5/22

Anticipated work for the week of 5/9 - 5/13/22

  • Utility work - dig and prepare for valve replacement.  In the event of shut downs, residents will be notified with door hangers
     
  • Storm sewer removal and replacement

Update - 4/28/22

Anticipated work for the month of May: 

  • Concrete curbs and sidewalks will be completed starting May 4th
  • Landscaping restoration will begin the week of May 9th 
  • Pavement restoration is scheduled to take place May 13th to May 20th

04/14/22 Update

Northern Contracting will be removing and replacing 44 LF of the southern remaining section of guardrail on Riverside Ave, perpendicular to the Prairie St. bridge, on Friday, April 15th, depending on weather. Please alert residents to be aware of short term lane closures and flaggers.

Update - 3/21/22

All the water main has been installed, and is currently being disinfected.

The week of March 21-25, the contractor will be installing new water services.  This may result in a short water shut-off; field staff will be coordinating times with the businesses and homeowners. 

Update 3/11/22

The contractor will be moving East across South 17th St. on 3/11/2022.  In order to complete this work, South 17th St. will be closed for the majority of the business day at the Walnut St. intersection.

Update 2/18/22

Northern Contracting will be removing and replacing 44 Linear Feet of the southern remaining section of guardrail on Riverside Ave, perpendicular to the Prairie St. bridge, next Wednesday, Feb. 23rd depending on weather.

Please be alert to short term lane closures and flaggers.

Update - 12/13/21

Starting December 13, Northern Contracting will be removing and replacing the guardrail on Prairie Street, west of the bridge.  Work is anticipated to be completed in one week, but is weather dependent.

Update - 11/12/21

Next week the Contractor will complete the final asphalt.

On Monday, the roads will be swept, and prime coat oil will be applied. The purpose of this prime coat oil is to better bind the first layer of asphalt to the second layer of asphalt. This binding of layers gives the street strength and durability.
