Brush and Yard Waste Collection

Free Bagged Yard Waste

Take advantage of free bagged yard waste pick up the weeks of March 21 & 28, no sticker needed.  Bags will be collected on your regular refuse collection day.  Beginning April 4, regular collection begins and a sticker will be needed for yard waste bags. 

YARD WASTE COLLECTION:  Yard Waste collection will resume April 4-5 on your regular refuse days.  Small branches, trimmings and leaves: These items can be placed in a generic brown paper yardwaste bag and place one refuse sticker on each bag.

Hydrant Flushing Schedule

As part of the regular maintenance to the City’s water distribution system, the Public Works Water Division performs seasonal hydrant flushing.  By simply flushing hydrants to allow water to flow rapidly through them [in a controlled manner], water quality is improved and mineral build-up in the water mains is minimized.

Voting and Elections

In order to register or re-register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older on or before the next election, a resident of the precinct 30 days or more prior to the next election, currently reside in Kane County, and able to provide two forms of identification, at least one of which contains your current address.
