The construction work on the Municipal Building is in its final stages.  Window replacements on the upper floor of the east elevation of the Old City Hall have been completed and the large “garage door” window is installed. Replacement of the limestone base and stone copings has been completed and a final washing of this elevation is underway.

The roofing contractor has finalized the replacement work on all the roof sections. Only minor finishing touches are left as the interface between the roof and the outward facing elevations are completed.

The Contractor is expecting to begin grinding the concrete roadway between Kirk Road and Kautz Road beginning Saturday, September 21, 2013, weather permitting.  Once the grinding work has been completed, the Contractor will place the first layer of asphalt material.  Once the installation of new traffic signal equipment is placed within the first layer of asphalt, the Contractor will return and place the final surface course and finalize all required striping.  This work is expected to be completed by October 4, 2013.

Replacement of the limestone base and stone copings is underway and a final washing of this elevation is scheduled in the coming weeks.

Roadway construction on North 15^th Street Phase Two, on North 15^th Street from Brook Street to Main Street, and on Brook Street from 15^th Street to Firethorne Condos, is expected to begin in early October 2013, with an anticipated completion date of November 15, 2013.

The Contractor will be focusing on performing joint repairs on the existing concrete roadway between Kirk Road and 38^th Avenue.  This work is expected to be completed by September 16, 2013.  Once these repairs have been made, the Contractor will begin placement of the new asphalt roadway along this same section.  These paving activities are expected to be completed by September 20, 2013.

Restoration work on the Municipal Building continues on schedule this week. Replacement of the limestone base and stone copings is underway and a final washing of this elevation is scheduled in the coming weeks.

The Contractor will complete minor saw cutting and seal coating of the new concrete roadway between 7^th Avenue and 13^th Avenue beginning this week and completing by Friday, August 23, 2013.  Once completed, the contractor will begin the placement of roadway striping along this same section and should be completed by Monday, August 26, 2013.   The Contractor is currently anticipating the opening of this section of roadway to four lanes beginning Wednesday August 28, 2013.

Final cleanup and parkway restoration is scheduled to take place the first and second week of September.

All of the scaffolding along the east elevation has been removed and the public sidewalk has been re-opened with only minor daily closures.
