The Municipal Parking Lot Reconstruction is underway.  As with any construction project, things must happen in sequential order and coordination between utilities and sub-contractors is critical. A project of this type will be very active on certain days and not so much on others.  Keeping that in mind, the following schedule is what we know to be taking place for the remainder of the week of July 28. The overall project is not delayed and is anticipated to be open by Scarecrow Festival.

Week of July 21, 2014

Beginning the week of July 21, construction fencing is to be installed and pavement is to be removed in preparation of utility repairs and site grading.  The parking lot will be closed between City Hall and the Police Station as of Monday July 21.

The US Mail and utility bill drop boxes have been temporary relocated north of the intersection of North Riverside Ave. and State Ave. Links to “Temporary Drop Box Location” and “Downtown Parking Map” are available under Project Documents.

Week of June 30, 2014

The Tyler Road Pavement Resurfacing Project has been awarded to Geneva Construction Company, Aurora, IL. The limits of this project are from East Main Street to Kirk Road. The placing of traffic control is scheduled to begin on Monday July 7, with the start of construction planned for Monday July 14.

Week of June 16, 2014

Phase One utility repairs have been completed in Cambridge East neighborhood, and have started on Squire Lane, Foxfifeld Drive, Frontage Road, Kehoe Street, Alice Court and Margaret Court.  Utility repairs are planned to begin on McKinley Street this week.
