Project: Pavement Rejuvenation

Dates: Beginning Sept. 22-25, 2020

Location: 14 locations across town. Click here for a map of affected area.

Details:

The St. Charles Public Works Department will be applying pavement rejuvenation liquids to streets at 14 locations across the City, weather permitting. The roads will remain open during the process.

The rejuvenation process involves applying asphalt sealing liquid to the street that helps keep water from penetrating the asphalt. Less water infiltration means less freeze/thaw damage to the pavement, preventing future cracks and potholes.

After the sealant is applied, sand will be spread over the road surfaces for traction, and the excess will be swept up within a day or two.

For more information, visit the City website at www.stcharlesil.gov/projects/2020-street-rejuvenation-program or contact Public Works Manager – Engineering Ken Jay at 630.377.4418 or kjay@stcharlesil.gov
