The Natural Resources Commission is hosting their annual Pumpkin Smash on Saturday, November 5, 9 a.m. to noon St. Charles Public Works Facility, 1405 South 7th Avenue. Participants are invited to toss, smash, roll, or simply drop off pumpkins to be composted.
Be sure to remove non-biodegradable materials (such as candles, plastic stickers and yarn) to avoid contaminating organic materials collected for composting. More at https://www.facebook.com/STCILNaturalResourcesCommission.
