The work completed for the week ending May 23, 2015 included restoration on the Q Center property and installation of watermain pipe along the east side of 5th Ave down to the south end of Union Cemetery. The watermain crossing south of the Q Center was installed, backfilled and temporarily patched. The Marion Avenue connection and tie-in was completed. The Allen Lane watermain with hydrants and valves was also completed with tie-in to the new watermain to occur at a later date.
The scheduled work for the week ending May 30, 2015 will include installation of watermain from south of the cemetery to Marion Avenue. Installation of valves on the watermain north of the cemetery will also occur. The Delnor Avenue connection and Iroquis Avenue watermain will be installed. The contractor will provide notifications to those residents affected by construction who may have restricted access to their driveways during this work 48 hours in advance.
All work schedules are weather dependent. Daily lane closures should be expected on IL Route 25 for the above work this week.
