New Site Promotes St. Charles as a Business Destination

We Want Businesses to "Think St. Charles" When Looking to Locate or Expand

The City’s Community & Economic Development Department just launched a new web portal aimed at attracting potential businesses to St. Charles. The Think St. Charles site focuses on essential information and links to resources in one place for business owners looking to locate to St. Charles, as well as for existing businesses. The site offers valuable data, such as desirable area demographics, at a glance. These key facts were identified by speaking with business owners and commercial developers.

Video testimonials from local business owners give viewers of the site a first-hand look at what it’s like to operate a business in St. Charles. The videos cover topics such as working with City staff and leadership, how enthusiastically the community embraces the Shop Local mantra, area workforce and transportation availability, and the unique features that draw both residents and businesses to St. Charles.

Priority statistics are neatly packaged in an easy-to-read format to outline workforce demographics, incentives and city services. Helpful links to community organizations, utilities and available land sites offer visitors one-stop shopping.

“We are so excited to debut the Think St. Charles business site,” said Economic Development Division Manager Matthew O’Rourke. “It was great working with existing businesses to hear why they chose St. Charles and learn about their experiences working with the City.”
