On June 13, 2019, at 1:02 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the report of a residential burglary that had just occurred. The first officer arrived on scene within one minute of being dispatched.
The homeowner reported that he returned home and interrupted what appeared to be a residential burglary attempt. A struggle ensued and the two offenders fled from the house on foot. St. Charles Fire Department units were also dispatched and the homeowner was transported to Northwestern Delnor Hospital with minor injuries.
The offenders were reported to be two male Hispanics wearing gray sweatshirts and ski masks. Several officers checked the area and two Police K-9 units from the Kane County Sheriff’s Office responded and attempted to track the offenders as well. No offenders have been located at this time.
