Someone needs blood every three seconds. Will you help?

Everyone in the community is invited to join us on July 26 for a blood drive at Fire Station #1 (downtown), 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. TheHeartland Blood Centermobile donation bus will be located right outside Fire Station #1 at the downtown municipal center. Please call the City Human Resources Department at 630-377-4446 to make an appointment. We all know blood donations help cancer patients, those with liver disease, and others, but did you know there are health benefits to donors, too? Donating blood can reduce harmful iron stores, lower your cancer risk, burn calories, and result in fewer heart attacks and strokes. You also get a free blood analysis.Visit http://www.heartlandbc.org/ for information about Heartland Blood Center and blood donation facts.
