Finance Director Christopher Minick Appointed to State Government Finance Association Committee

Minick will serve on the IGFOA Legislative Committee

City of St. Charles Director of Finance Christopher Minick has been appointed to the Legislative Committee of the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA). The IGFOA Legislative Committee serves as the voice of the association in the state and federal legislation process and develops relations with state constitutional offices to communicate local government views and promote sound government financial policies.

“We are delighted to congratulate Chris on his recent appointment,” said St. Charles City Administrator Mark Koenen. “He continues to bring his valuable experience to the IGFOA and serve as a voice for local government at the state level.”

Minick, who is a past president of IGFOA Executive Board (2017), also is the designated IGFOA representative to the Illinois Municipal League Resolutions Committee. That Committee prepares and reviews resolutions concerning legislative and policy initiatives and positions on items of concern to municipalities in Illinois.

Minick came to the City of St. Charles as Finance Director in 2008. Prior to that, he was the Village Administrator for the Village of Plainfield, Illinois. Minick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana.
