Elected Officials to Take the Oath of Office at May 3 City Council Meeting

At the May 3, 2021 City Council Meeting, officials elected in the April 6 Consolidated Election will be administered the Oath of Office by the honorable Judge Clint Hull, a St. Charles resident and graduate of St. Charles High School.

This traditional event begins at 7 p.m. with the final actions of the outgoing Council, followed by the Swearing-In Ceremony of the newly elected officials. After all oaths are taken, the newly seated City Council will conduct its first meeting.

Public Health Precautions

As space is limited due to statewide public health recommendations, the meeting portions of the evening also will be conducted via Zoom teleconferencing. The Swearing-In Ceremony will take place outside the Municipal Building, 2 E. Main St., to accommodate officials’ family members who wish to attend. Videos of the meetings will be available on the City’s YouTube channel.
