Masks Required in City Buildings and at Public Meetings

Effective Aug. 30, 2021, the State of Illinois requires masks to be worn indoors by all individuals, both vaccinated and unvaccinated. Masks are required for everyone inside City buildings, including at all public meetings.

The latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance recommends every person, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask indoors in public settings where levels are “substantial” or “high,” to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html. The CDC maintains a website that tracks COVID-19 transmission by county at https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view.

To schedule a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, visit the Kane County Health Department’s vaccine website  www.kanevax.org.
