Update - 7/13/17

Friday, July 14th thru Friday, July 21st  -  The contractor will continue concrete curb, sidewalk and driveway replacements and begin utility repairs.  Each business with proposed driveway repairs will be contacted to coordinate the work and property access.

Update - 7/11/17

The grading for the solar site is completed, and solar panel deliveries are expected in the next two weeks.  Solar production is scheduled to begin in August or September.

Inside the substation, the majority of the site work is done and equipment for the substation is beginning to be set.  Substation target completion and in-service in spring of 2018.

Update - 7/11/17

Underground work is completed.  Roadway and sidewalks are reopened.  KDOT is working with the contractor for rework of some of the concrete in the southbound lanes that will eventually require short term lane closures.

Update - 07/11/17

Pole testing continues in the south west quadrant of the City this week.  The contractor has completed about half of the pole inspections.  The City appreciates the cooperation from our residents as we perform this important reliability related inspection.

Update - 6/20/17

All conduit has been placed and backfilled, and all lanes of traffic are open.  The northbound shoulder will open this week.  Landscape restoration will start late the week of June 19 or early the week of June 26.  The right southbound lane and southbound shoulder will need to be closed for three more days in the future to complete the pavement work, but that date has not yet been determined. 

Update - 6/15/17

Update 6/15/17 – Anticipated construction work for the week of June 19-23:
East Side Streets

  • Banbury Avenue and Court – Saw cutting of concrete/pavement to begin.
  • Bent Avenue - No work at this time.
