Eastern Sanitary Sewer Constructability Assessment
The City of St. Charles has contracted with Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) to investigate the constructability of replacing existing sanitary sewer pipe that runs along the Union Pacific railroad between Tyler Road and Kautz Road. The sewer is within an easement located at the rear of each property that borders the railroad. As part of this investigation, soil borings must be taken at multiple locations along the proposed sanitary sewer route within the easement. Please see attached map of the proposed soil boring locations.
Rubino Engineering, Inc. has been contracted to perform the borings. In order to access the easement and take soil borings, Rubino will need to utilize driveways and rear parking area of the affected property. The equipment needed to perform the work includes a pickup truck and trailer with up to two support vehicles. Once on site, work is expected to take approximately 2 hours.
Work is expected to take place between March 21st and March 23rd. EEI will notify you prior to work taking place and coordinate with you to minimize any inconvenience as much as possible.
The City appreciates your cooperation and patience during this project. If you have any questions, please call Kyle Welte, P.E. with EEI at (630) 466-6776 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
