Next week the contractor will begin landscape restoration and install the new cured-in-place liner on the old sanitary sewer main. Landscape restoration and contract punch list items will continue into early August.
Rita Avenue and Nicholas Avenue Street Reconstruction Project
The City will be reconstructing Rita Avenue and Nicholas Avenue during the 2019 construction season. See project details below and please check back for project updates as we progress through construction.
Project Phase: Construction
Proposed Improvements: The City will be installing new water main, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer including new water and sanitary service connections to each house. The City will then perform a full depth reconstruction of both streets with new stone base and asphalt surfacing. Additional work will include replacement of all curbs, sidewalks, and driveway aprons.

Road Closures: Short-term road closures will be required at intermittent times. No long term road closures are anticipated.
Upcoming Construction Schedule (Weather Pending)
July 1 – July 5: Pour new concrete sidewalks.
July 8 – July 12: Pour new concrete curb and concrete driveway aprons.
July 15 – July 18: Fine grade roadway, pave asphalt binder and surface. Pave asphalt driveway aprons.
Next week the contractor will complete switching water services to the new water main and complete the installation of the new storm sewer.
