Lakeshore is delivering new carts the week of June 18. Note: Please continue to use your Advanced carts through the last collection in June.

Recycling Carts

Lakeshore is providing everyone with a 65-gallon recycling cart. To request a different size,  please contact Lakeshore Recycling at 630.581.8650 or StCharles@LRSrecycles.com.

Refuse Carts

Lakeshore also will provide the same size refuse cart you are using now. If you would like to change your existing cart size or begin using carts (vs. stickers), please contact Lakeshore Recycling at 630.581.8650 or StCharles@LRSrecycles.com

Yard Waste Carts

If you currently rent a yard waste cart, you will receive one from Lakeshore Recycling Systems.

Last Pick Up By Advanced Disposal and Old Cart/Toter Collection

25June

Last collection by Advanced Disposal is June 25 on the east side & June 26 on the west side. After this collection, Advanced Disposal also will pick up your old carts  Leave your refuse, recycling and yard waste containers from Advanced Disposal on the curb after the last collection until Advanced picks them up.

If Advanced Disposal has not picked up your old cart by Wednesday, June 27, please contact them directly at 630.587.8282. If you are out of town or unavailable to put your old carts out for the final collection dates, please contact Advanced Disposal to arrange pick up.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is holding an open house for residents to learn more about the new program and ask questions:

Change cart sizes

To change cart sizes, please contact Lakeshore Recycling Systems at 630.581.8650 or StCharles@LRSrecycles.com.

New carts: when can I begin using my Lakeshore Recycling Systems cart?

Begin using your new carts from Lakeshore after July 1. Continue to use your Advanced carts/totes through the last garbage collection in June:  June 25 on the east side & June 26 on the west side.

New carts: When will I get them from Lakeshore Recycling Systems?

Lakeshore is currently delivering new carts. You will receive a 65-gallon recycling cart and the same size refuse cart you are using now.

Old carts: What do I do with my Advanced Disposal cart?

Advanced Disposal will collect your old carts after their last refuse collection dates of June 25 on the east side & June 26 on the west side.

Leave it On the Curb

Leave your refuse, recycling and yard waste containers from Advanced Disposal on the curb after your last collection until Advanced picks them up. If Advanced Disposal has not picked up your old cart by Wednesday, June 27, please contact them directly at 630.587.8282.

If you are out of town or unavailable to put your cart out for the last collection dates, contact Advanced Disposal directly at 630.587.8282 to arrange a pick up.

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is the new refuse & recycling contractor for residents within St. Charles city limits.

Schedule - Curbside Refuse and Recycling Pickup

The Curbside Refuse Pick Up Schedule is as follows for residents living within the city limits of St. Charles:

Residents living east of the river: Monday collection

Residents living west of the river: Tuesday collection

Refuse collection holidays are as follows:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • July 4
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

When scheduled collection falls on one of these holidays, collections are delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.

What do I do with my old stickers/half-sized bags from Advanced Disposal?
