Parking Ticket Review Request The St. Charles Police Department offers parking ticket recipients who had limited or not contact with the issuing officer the opportunity to communicate the circumstances of their parking ticket for the Department to consider when processing the parking violation.
CARES Program The C.A.R.E.S. Program is a proactive, voluntary assistance program to assist the St. Charles Police better identify residents requiring a specialized response due to a diagnosed physical, emotional or mental health disability. C.A.R.E.S. allows a resident or family member to provide comprehensive information to assist officers when responding to emergency calls for service.
Vacation Watch Request The St. Charles Police Department is pleased to be able to provide the service of checking your residence while you are away on vacation. Please be sure to review the conditions of this request prior to completing the request form.

Report an Issue Create a service request for the City of St. Charles. Issues are handled during regular business hours. For emergencies or to file a report with the St. Charles Police Department, dial 911. Report an electric outage 24/7 to 866-444-0016. Report water main breaks or sewer backups to 630-377-4405. If call is after hours, please listen to voicemail prompts to leave a message to alert on call staff.

Snow Removal The City spreads salt & brine during ice storms, freezing rain, sleet or when 2” or less of snow has fallen. Plowing usually begins when 1.5” of snow has fallen and 2” or more has been forecast. The Snow Route Parking Ban is put into effect by the Police Department upon notification by the Public Works Division Manager that 2” of snow has accumulated and additional snowfall is predicted.
Commercial Refuse Collection The City does not contract for collection of commercial refuse. Commercial refuse and recycling services are available through a number of licensed vendors with which businesses may contract independently.
Community Clean-Up Day The St. Charles Community Clean-Up Day (formerly known as the Spring Clean Up Program) offers residents the opportunity to place unwanted items at the curb for pick up.

Building Permits Provide information and applications for building permits.
Safety for Seniors Information about the Fire Department's "File of Life" and Home Safety, programs, and the state's Illinois Premise Alert Program.
Code Enforcement Code Enforcement works with citizens to resolve issues that impact the quality of life in St. Charles, including violations of the Zoning Ordinance and Property Maintenance Code. Enforcement is accomplished by routine inspections of commercial and residential areas, as well as by responding to citizen complaints.
Transparency The City of St. Charles is committed to the use of data and evidence to improve services, inform local decision-making and engage residents.
Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA) To provide information about IMEA, the City's contract with IMEA, and to share presentations about the IMEA contract that were presented at public meetings.
Holiday Tree Pick Up Trees are picked up by Lakeshore Recycling Systems during the first two weeks of January. Trees collected during this two-week time period do not require a refuse sticker. Trees cannot be bagged and must have all ornaments, tinsel, lights and decorations removed from them.
Licensing & Special Events The City of St. Charles does not require general business licenses; however, certain licenses may be required for certain businesses. Liquor licenses are managed by the Mayor's Office. The Mayor also serves as Liquor Control Commissioner.
Overweight Truck Permits and Enforcement Apply for an overweight permit.
Traffic Enforcement Request The St. Charles Police Department actively responds to complaints of ongoing speeding problems and other traffic infractions that occur within the City. Recycling The City’s refuse contractor collects and transports residential recyclables to recycling facilities. Some materials should be taken to community partners.

Composting Put food scraps and other organic composting materials out at the curb along with regular yard waste for collection.
Utility Billing Submit a payment for your utility bill
Parking or Ordinance Violation Tickets Pay a parking or ordinance violation ticket issued by the St. Charles Police Department.
Refuse Collection City of St. Charles residents may choose to either purchase stickers or monthly subscription for garbage collection.

Bids & Proposals Invitations to Bid (ITB), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Statements of Interest (SOI) are posted online for review and download.
Brush, Leaves, and Yard Waste Stickered yard waste is collected from April through November on your regularly scheduled refuse day. Brush is collected on specific dates from April through November; Leaves are collected on specific dates October through December.
