2026 St. Charles Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois

08 Mar 2026 Each year, the Polar Plunge — jumping into cold water in cold
weather — raises awareness and donations for Special Olympics Illinois programming and support services. On March 8, 2026, at 10 a.m., members of the St. Charles Police and Fire departments will take the plunge at Ferson Creek Park, off of IL Rt. 31, east of Wildrose Springs Drive.

St. Patrick's Parade

14 Mar 2026 The St. Charles St. Patrick’s Parade is Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. on Main Street. The parade starts at 6th Street and travels down Main Street to 4th Avenue. Events are happening all around town, including an Opening Ceremony at 11 a.m. on the 1st Street Plaza.

2026 July 4th Fireworks / City Offices Closed

04 Jul 2026 Celebrate Independence Day with an amazing fireworks show on July 4th! The fireworks will be launched at dark from Langum Park, at 7th and Madison Avenues, and can be seen along the Fox River, with the best viewing locations downtown St. Charles, south of Main Street.

City Offices are closed for the July 4th Holiday.
