Public Hearing 7/16/2024 General Amendment to Title 17-Zoning

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Plan Commission of the City of St. Charles, Illinois on Tuesday, July 16, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 2 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois. The purpose of this public hearing is to hear testimony and make a recommendation to the City Council concerning proposed amendments to Title 17 entitled "Zoning" of the St. Charles Municipal Code (the Zoning Ordinance), described as follows:

A petition filed by the City of St. Charles requesting amendments to Chapter 17.12 “Residential Districts”, Chapter 17.14 “ Business and Mixed Use Districts”, Chapter 17.20 “Use Standards”, Chapter 17.22 “General Provisions”, Chapter 17.24 “Off-Street Parking, Loading and Access”, Chapter 17.30 “Definitions”, and Chapter 17.99 “Appendices”, regarding: general definitions and zoning districts for commercial uses; breezeway definition; use standards for banquet halls and food trucks; permitted yard encroachments; rear yard coverage for accessory structures; compost piles; parking requirements; existing facilities and non-conforming off street parking facilities and  zoning application fees.

The public hearing will be held at the location identified above. Anyone wishing to be heard for or against the General Amendment application may submit statements orally or in writing or both. Written comments may be submitted by email to cd@stcharlesil.gov or mail to City of St. Charles, Community Development Division, 2 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174.
