David and his family have proudly called St. Charles home since 2014, drawn by the city’s strong sense of service, tradition, and community. Alongside his wife, Jennifer, he is raising their children, Tenley and Blaine, with an appreciation for the values that make St. Charles the Pride of the Fox. Through both his professional and personal experiences, David has developed a deep respect for balancing responsible growth with environmental stewardship.
David holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from Aurora University. He brings nearly two decades of experience in governmental finance and administration, including roles in governmental auditing, consulting, and public sector leadership. His expertise includes financial planning, budgeting, and organizational management.
David currently serves as Chief Financial & Administrative Officer for the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, where he oversees fiscal strategy and administrative operations. He is committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability in service to the public.
David also serves as Treasurer for the Kane Forest Preserve Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that helps to support the Forest Preserve District of Kane County’s mission. He is also a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Illinois Government Finance Officers Association (IGFOA), and the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association (IPRA).
Throughout his career, David has remained dedicated to responsible financial management and strategic decision-making that addresses both current needs and future priorities. His work emphasizes maintaining strong financial foundations while advancing environmental education, recreation, and conservation efforts across Kane County.
David’s priorities include fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and maintaining public trust through transparency and accessibility. He is committed to serving the community with integrity and ensuring resources are managed thoughtfully for generations to come.
