Jayme Muenz

Elected 2023

Liaison, Mental Health Board

Vice Chair, Planning & Development Committee

Jayme and her husband, Steve, made St. Charles their home in 2004, drawn to its charm and strong sense of community from the moment they first drove down Main Street. Over the past two decades, they've raised two children — and two dogs — here, building a life rooted in the values and traditions that make this city special. St. Charles isn’t just where they live; it’s where they’ve grown as a family and developed a deep appreciation for its rich history and vibrant community spirit.

Jayme attended University of Illinois, Chicago, and Roosevelt University. With over 25 years of experience as a Human Resources professional in a global corporation, she brings a strong foundation in policy development, risk analysis, and strategic decision-making to her role on City Council. Her work has always centered around connecting people with resources, resolving conflicts, and improving services — skills that translate well to public service. She approaches policy with a long-term lens, considering not only the immediate impact but also how decisions will affect residents in the years to come. This helps ensure city governance remains thoughtful, inclusive, and forward-looking.

Community involvement has always been a cornerstone of Jayme's life. From volunteering in classrooms and serving on PTO and youth sports boards to leading the scholarship program for the St. Charles Women’s Club, she has consistently given back.

Prior to her election to City Council in April 2023, Jayme served on the City’s Youth Commission for seven years, including three as Chairperson. She continues to serve on the boards of the St. Charles Education Foundation and Fox Chase Boulevard Median Foundation, and volunteers at numerous D303 events.

Her key focuses include fiscal responsibility, smart and sustainable growth, safety and accessibility, and community engagement and transparency. She encourages direct communications and aims to be visible and accessible to the community.
