2026 Street Rehabilitation Project

The City will be undertaking street resurfacing projects at various locations throughout the community aimed at maintaining the current roadway infrastructure.  See project details below and please check back for project updates as we progress through construction.

  • Proposed Improvements: This work generally includes repairs to the existing curbs, sidewalks, utilities, and providing a new asphalt roadway surface. On certain streets, work will be coordinated with the Lead Service Line Replacement Project in advance of resurfacing.   • Project Locations: See attached location map for streets included in this project, including tentative phasing throughout the town.
  • Road Closures: Short-term road closures may be required at intermittent times.  No long-term road closures are anticipated.

UPDATES

Update - 7/2/26

Area 1 (Stuart’s Crossing, Blackhawk, Charlemagne, & Majestic Oaks Area)

Remaining utility structure replacements are expected to be completed on Monday, July 6th.

Remaining sidewalk and curb replacements are expected to be completed by Tuesday, July 7th.

Asphalt driveway repairs are expected to continue and be completed on Monday, July 6th.

Landscape restoration is expected to continue next week throughout the area.

Pavement surface removal (~2 inches) is expected to continue next week progressing from the North to the South.

Paving the first layer of asphalt is expected to begin on Thursday, July 9th, progressing from the North to the South.

Area 2 (Oak Street incl. side streets & S 3rd St [EXCLUDING Lead Service Line Replacement Areas 1, 2, & 3])

Utility structure repair and replacement work is expected to begin on Monday, July 6th and continue thru the end of the week.

Sidewalk and curb replacements are expected to continue next week.

Work will continue to progress in this area generally from the Northwest to the Southeast.

 

Update - 6/26/26

Utility structure repair and replacements are expected to be completed by Tuesday, June 30th.

Sidewalk and curb replacements are expected to be completed by Tuesday, June 30th.

Asphalt driveway repairs are expected to take place Monday and Tuesday, June 29 – 30th.

Landscape restoration is expected to take place Monday and Tuesday, June 29 – 30th.

Pavement surface removal (~2 inches) is expected to begin on Wednesday, July 1st, and continue thru the end of the week. Work is expected to begin from the North and progress South.

Area 2 (Oak Street incl. side streets & S 3rd St [EXCLUDING Lead Service Line Replacement Areas 1, 2, & 3])

Work in this area is generally expected to progress from the Northwest to the Southeast.

Utility structure repair and replacement work is expected to begin on Wednesday, July 1st.

Sidewalk and curb replacements are expected to begin on Wednesday, July 1st.

Sidewalk and curb replacements are expected to continue and be completed by the end of the week.

Next week, the contractor is expected to continue and complete utility structure repair and replacement work by the end of the week.

Sidewalk and curb removals are expected to begin on Monday and progress from the North to the South thru the area.

Sidewalk and curb replacements are expected to begin on Wednesday and continue through the end of the week.
