ST. CHARLES, Ill. (March 9, 2026) – The St. Charles Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire located in the 100-200 block of Lakeside Drive at approximately 2:03 p.m. The fire was reported by a resident who called 911 after discovering it.
Upon arrival Fire Department personnel initiated suppression activities and checked for extension into the roof and adjacent units. Fire crews extinguished the fire in approximately 13 minutes from the time of dispatch. The fire was confined to the contents located in the garage of origin and did not extend to affect the structure or adjacent units. Fire crews remained on scene conducting the fire investigation until approximately 3:36 p.m. No injuries to firefighters or civilians were sustained.
The St. Charles Fire Department was assisted at this incident by Geneva, Batavia, Elburn, West Chicago, North Aurora, and Fermilab Fire Departments, as well as the St. Charles Police Department and St. Charles Emergency Management Agency.
