This year our nation will celebrate its 250th anniversary on July 4th and everyone is invited to be a part of the celebration here in St. Charles. There is a full lineup of community events for all ages to honor this historic milestone.

 

City of St. Charles Events

  • “St. Charles Fourth of July Celebrations Through the Years: If you have celebrated the Fourth of July here in St. Charles, we’d love to see it! Share your favorite Fourth of July photos with family or friends — whether they’re from years ago or just last summer. Even better, show us a ‘then and now’! Just email your photos to info@stcharlesil.gov, include your name and town you live in, and wewill create a social media reel to commemorate the occasion. Submissions will be accepted through May 15.
  • Patriotic Band Concert:  July 4, noon to 1 p.m., 1st Street Plaza
  • America's 250th Flag Raising Ceremony: June 15 at 6:00 p.m., outside the Municipal Building, 2 E. Main Street
  • Proclamation read at the June 15 City Council Meeting, Council Chambers, Municipal Building 2 E. Main Street
  • Comemortive Tree Planting at the Police Department
  • America's 250th Street Banners Downtown
  • Displays in the Main Street and interior reception windows at the Municipal Building, 2 E. Main Street
  • Municipal Tower lights in red, white & blue
  • St. Charles has officially been designated as an Illinois America 250 community
