St. Charles firefighter/paramedics are available for hire by third-party organizations to provide on-site emergency medical standby services, including an advanced life support (ALS) apparatus, for sporting events and other events within the City of St. Charles.
Government, for-profit, and not-for-profit entities may request these services by completing the form below. Submission of the form constitutes a request to contract with the St. Charles Fire Department for event standby coverage.
For 2026, the hourly rate for a two (2) firefighter/paramedic crew is $160.00. Personnel assigned to these events are off-duty and are required to report to the fire station prior to the event to prepare and transport necessary equipment. Accordingly, an additional one (1) hour will be added to each request to account for setup and post-event restocking.
Example:
For a 3-hour on-site event plus 1 hour for setup/restock:
$160 x 4.0 hours = $640.00
To request an ALS apparatus staffed with two (2) paramedics for special event coverage, please complete the form below.
Requests must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the event, however consideration will be given for requests submitted less than two (2) weeks prior in certain circumstances (i.e. playoff sporting events).
Filing out this form does not guarantee Fire Department standby. Upon approval, a confirmation email will be sent.
