Fire Department Conducting Water Flow Test on June 21

The St. Charles Fire Department will be conducting water flow test at 1855 Wallace Avenue on Thursday, June 21, 2018. The test will begin at approximately 9:00 A.M. and finish by 10:00 A.M. the same day. Residents may experience rust in the water during or immediately after the testing procedure. The water is safe; however you may want to refrain from doing laundry until the water is clear.

Be Careful, High Temperatures Expected

The St. Charles Fire Department would like to remind everyone that the upcoming high temperatures expected for this weekend could be dangerous to the elderly, shut-ins and those exposed to the outdoor heat for long periods of time.It is important for all to drink plenty of water and cool down either in shaded areas or in an air-conditioned facility.

The St. Charles Fire Department, in conjunction with the Emergency Management Agency, is monitoring the weather conditions and stands ready to open cooling centers if conditions warrant.

The St. Charles Fire Department will be conducting water main flushing at Northwinds Dr. and Beckham Lane (Prairie Winds of St. Charles) on Thursday, June 14, 2018. The test will begin at approximately 09:00 A.M. and finish by 10:30 A.M. the same day. Residents may experience rust in the water during or immediately after the testing procedure. The water is safe; however you may want to refrain from doing laundry until the water is clear.

Water Main Flushing May 1, 2018

In Prairie Winds Development on Bricher Road

The St. Charles Fire Department will be conducting water main flushing at Northwinds Dr. and Beckham Lane (Prairie Winds of St. Charles) on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. The test will begin at approximately 09:00 A.M. and finish by 10:00 A.M. the same day. Residents may experience rust in the water during or immediately after the testing procedure. The water is safe; however you may want to refrain from doing laundry until the water is clear.

April 30th Structure Fire at 506 Pin Oak Court

At 9:06 a.m. on April 30th, the St. Charles Fire Department was dispatched to a reported grill on fire, close to the house, at 506 Pin Oak Court. While units were in route, an update was provided by Tri Com that indicated the deck and the structure were now on fire. Firefighters were on the scene by 9:10 and found the grill and deck burning with fire moving up the back wall of the home and into the attic of the structure. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes however; investigators and fire units remained on the scene until 11:02.
