The City of St. Charles has launched STC Alerts, a new community notification system that delivers important alerts and information by phone call, text message, or email. STC Alerts is powered by the Everbridge mass-communication platform and delivers three types of information: critical emergency alerts, key service updates and helpful community notices.

“Clear and timely communication with our residents is essential,” said City Administrator Heather McGuire. “STC Alerts allows the City to communicate quickly through multiple channels, keeping residents informed and reaching them in a way that works best for them. It’s part of the City’s ongoing efforts to broaden outreach and connect with residents.”

Signing Up

Residents can sign up for STC Alerts here. First, create an account, then choose which alerts to receive and the preferred way to receive them. Users can change preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

Alerts are sent from Police, Fire and Public Works, as well as other City departments. Residents can select up to three categories of notifications:

Emergency Alerts - Urgent, emergency situations that may impact public safety.
