The St. Charles Senior Services Commission is hosting a free Scam and Fraud Awareness Seminar from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Ave., in St. Charles.
St. Charles Police Chief Dan Likens, Mayor Clint Hull and Kane County State's Attorney Jamie Mosser will discuss common scams involving investment and cryptocurrency, tech support, government impersonation, grandparent/family emergency, driver's license and tollway violations, and romance scams.
