Crime Prevention

We encourage you to take advantage of the information and programs that are offered by the City of St. Charles Police Department. Whether it's by properly using a child's car seat or by completing a vacation watch notification, we feel that by taking precautions, citizens can reduce their chances of becoming victims of an accident or a crime.

The Police Department provides this survey to residents as a way to assist homeowners in fortifying their homes against burglaries. Residential burglaries can be random acts of opportunity. Taking the necessary precautions now can protect you and your family from being victimized later. Walk your house with this survey and address the areas as needed. The St. Charles Police Department's Crime Prevention Officer is available by appointment to walk your house with you to address areas that may lack security.
