Electric Rates
To help offset water rate increases for lead service line replacements, the City is implementing a 5% reduction in all electric rates until further notice.
Water Rates
The following are the approximate rate changes for typical residential customers:
2026: $13-$16/month increase in base rate (90%); $11.70/thousand gallons used
2027: $9-$12/month increase in base rate (35%); $16.38/thousand gallons used
2028: $3-$5/month increase in base rate (10%); $18.02/thousand gallons used
2029: $2-$3/month increase in base rate (5%); $18.92/thousand gallons used
Wastewater Rates
Wastewater rates are expected to increase approximately 10% for 2026, 2027 and 2028, with an 8% increase in 2029.
2026: $3/month increase in base rate; $8.83/thousand gallons used
2027: $3/month increase in base rate; $9.72/thousand gallons used
2028: $3/month increase in base rate; $10.69/thousand gallons used
2029: $3/month increase in base rate; $11.54/thousand gallons used
EPA Mandate Fee: Increase from $2.75 to $4.45 a month per previous debt repayment schedules.
