In order to register or re-register to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older on or before the next election, a resident of the precinct 30 days or more prior to the next election, currently reside in Kane County, and able to provide two forms of identification, at least one of which contains your current address.

Registering to Vote

If you are a resident of Kane County, contact the Kane County Office of Voter Registration at (630) 232-5990 for information about how to register.

If you have changed your name or moved since last registering, you must re-register. If you move out of Kane County, contact the registrar in your new county to re-register.

Absentee voting is available for those who are unable to make it to the polling place during early voting or on election day. Contact the Kane County Office of Voter Registration website for more information or call (630) 232-5990.
