Remember ‘If You See Something, Say Something'

Our Police Officers do their best to monitor suspicious activity throughout the community, but they also rely on residents to be their eyes and ears in neighborhoods. So please, ‘If you see something, say something,’ and report any issues that require an officer, no matter how minor, directly to 911 while they are occurring.

“Residents are sometimes hesitant to call 911 because they don’t want to bother us. But we don’t see callers as a bother,” insists Crime Prevention Officer Jim Burden. “No incident is too small for an officer to check on. From calls about damaged traffic signs, noise disturbances, and parking complaints to reports of suspicious activity, call 911 and an officer will respond.”

All incoming 911 calls are directed to Tri-Com Central Dispatch, which handles dispatch duties for police, fire, and ambulance responders in the Tri-Cities area. Every St. Charles Police Officer is connected to Tri-Com frequencies, so this saves time in sending an officer to your location. An ambulance and fire truck will not be sent unless deemed necessary or requested.

If you would like to submit a crime tip anonymously, you also may contact the Police Department’s tip line at 1-866-378-4267.
