We have received questions regarding the redevelopment opportunities at the former police station site (211 N. Riverside Ave.) that will be discussed at the Oct. 10, 2022 Planning & Development Committee Meeting. This is the latest in a series of public discussions about redeveloping the site that began after the Police Department moved into their new facility in September 2019.
Understandably, there has been a lot of interest from the community and much coverage in the press and we wanted to reach out to share the latest information. While no decision will be made Monday, the City Council will hear presentations about two concepts, which they chose from the original four that were submitted. After this meeting Monday, there will be more opportunities for City Council discussion and community feedback during the next steps of the process.
The goal for Monday’s discussion is to offer the opportunity for the City Council to ask appropriate questions of the developers presenting and staff.
