Businesses Cited for Liquor and Tobacco Violations

Mayor Lora Vitek, acting as Liquor Control Commissioner, enforced local ordinances for two businesses at the June 19, 2023, hearing of the St. Charles Liquor Control Commission. The Commission considers alcohol, tobacco, and massage license issues.

  1. Lundeen’s Liquor East, Inc., at 614 East Main Street in St. Charles, was cited for selling tobacco/alternative nicotine products to a minor. The tobacco license was suspended for seven days and the business was required to submit $500 in court costs.
  2. St. Charles Sports, LLC - Spotted Fox Alehouse, at 3615 East Main Street in St. Charles, was cited for failure to submit timely alcohol tax remittance. The licensee was fined $1,000.00 plus $500.00 in court costs, and placed on probation until Jan. 1, 2024. $750 in fines will be deferred if no alcohol tax remittance violations occur during the probationary period.
