St. Charles Mental Health Board to Consider Funding Requests

Agency Applications Due March 9, 2024

The St. Charles 708 Community Mental Health Board will consider requests for funding for fiscal year 2024-2025 at its annual meeting April 17, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the St. Charles Municipal Building, 2 E. Main Street.

Last fiscal year, the City Council approved $632,269 be distributed by the Mental Health Board to 21 qualified not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) agencies. These agencies serve the residents of St. Charles by providing services related to mental disorders, developmental disabilities, substance abuse, and drug abuse.

Since 1986, the City has levied a tax dedicated to the mental health needs of the residents of the City of St. Charles. The Community 708 Mental Health Board reviews funding requests from local mental health agencies and recommends distribution of the collected funds.

Applications are accepted through March 9, 2024.  Agency applications and guidelines are on the City website https://bit.ly/STCMHBApp24, or email cao@stcharlesil.gov.
