Fox River Dam Joint Task Force Meeting

March 28

The first meeting of the River Dam Joint Task Force was held March 28. People who attended shared comments and were appreciative of the Task Force leading a discussion about the dam.

The meeting focused on organizational issues, such as electing officers. Once a meeting schedule is finalized yet, we will share it. The group decided that future meetings will be available to attend via Zoom.

The Joint Task Force was formed to engage the public, solicit input, and analyze all relevant information regarding removal of the Fox River dam in St. Charles after a draft report from the United States Army Corp of Engineers recommended removal of nine dams along the Fox River. Sitting on the Task Force are nine community representatives, including five from the City, three from the Park District, and one from the River Corridor Foundation.
